“My husband had two surgeries at Eltra for eye reconstruction after MOHS surgery on his lower eyelid. In both cases, he was treated with professionalism, kindness and the utmost care from surgeons, staff and the anesthesiologist. The work done to recreate the lower eyelid was amazing – The eye is symmetrical, the lower lid has the same thickness, and although he is still healing, there appears to be no tell-tale signs of scarring. Our pre-op and post-op instructions were clear. Family members were informed of progress as the surgery was completed. There were no undue wait times. What we were most happy with however was the care shown by ALL staff members at Eltra. They made you feel like you mattered. They made you feel like they were going to do the best they could for you and the results have proven that. We could not be happier with the entire process. When the patient is happy, you know they did everything right! He had a previous surgery with Dr. Neigel 8 years ago and when we were informed he would need another ocular reconstruction we knew for sure we wanted Dr. Neigel to do it. There was no hesitation. Once again, she performed a flawless surgery and the appearance of the eye is back to normal. Thank you so much to Dr. Neigel, the wonderful surgical and nursing staff, our anesthesiologist and the office staff who made everything so much easier. Your kindness and care is so appreciated and helped make this process easier to handle, both physically and mentally for both the patient and family members.”

Dear Dr. Richard,
I just wanted to say how impressed I am by the sensitive, caring, friendly, yet professional tone of your entire office staff. Instantly, from the attitude of the person answering the phone and setting up appointment, I knew this would be a positive ~ and welcoming ~ experience. A lot of my anxiety was relieved in that very moment…. When people are involved in the care-giving profession, like a medical office or hospital, it is easy to become a bit hardened and single-minded to their tasks. But you and your office made eye contact, smiled, and made not just me, but I could tell the other patients in the waiting area feel very warm and welcomed. It is very inspiring and I thank you. Thank you for making the World a better place through what you do.

I am so happy with the “shape” of my new lips… I no longer look sad or asked, “why are you so sad”, especially being the happy person I am… Thank You Dr. Neigel

Dear Dr. Neigel, You have made my life so much better. Nobody has done for me what you have. I can see and look at myself again. I love you!

I was devastated when I made the poor decision a few years ago to get a tattoo done at a tattoo party. It was so bad that when I went to my real tattoo artist to see about getting it fixed all he could do was clean up the jagged lines the first guy made. Knowing I couldn’t live the rest of my life with this huge mess on my body, I turned to the Neigel Center for laser tattoo removal after getting a few contradicting consultations from other doctors in Central New Jersey. I cannot begin to explain how friendly, professional and caring their entire staff has been. They were informative, took the time to answer my questions and were kind enough to take breaks during the laser tattoo removal procedure. I was also extremely worried about blistering and scarring and could not be more thrilled to tell everyone that there was not 1 blister on me after treatment. I cannot thank them enough for giving me my confidence back!
All my gratitude

Thank you, Janet Neigel and others at the Neigel Center! Janet and staff- you were so kind and did such a great job stitching my eye socket back together. I’m amazed at your capability.
I was pretty sure of losing my sight right after the accident, but I can still see! Between you and God’s angels I was in good hands. May God continue your work and bring others in need to you. Having worked for the Army, I think it would be good if Veterans would now of your talent.

I am writing to thank Dr. Neigel for giving me back my life. A little over a year and a half ago I first visited Dr. Neigel. At that time the results of too much time spent in the sun growing in Miami were very apparent on my face. I couldn’t catch sight of myself in a mirror without feeling suddenly exhausted and depressed. I couldn’t help but notice the haggard look on my face. It seemed as if overnight my upper eyelids had begun to droop, I had begun to develop “jowls”, and had extremely noticeable “bags” under my eyes. The bags under my eyes were so bad that Dr. Neigel at first suspected that I might have a thyroid problem and sent me for a thyroid test. The results came back negative, and Dr. Neigel discussed my options for cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Neigel performed upper and lower blepharoplasties on my eyes and an s-lift on my face. Within a very short period of time afterwards the results were remarkable. I no longer had bags under my eyes, I had eyelids again, and the contours of my cheeks looked much more youthful.
It has been almost two years now since the procedures. I receive compliments several times a week on how youthful I look. One of the best compliments I received was just this last week. Next month I will turn 54 years old, and my 24 year old son who was with me at a store was mistaken for my husband! He has always been careful to avoid the sun, and definitely has a “baby” face. He can’t get served in a bar without being proofed. The woman who mistook my son for my husband is a nurse. She expressed such surprise when I laughed and told her that he was in fact my son, that I realized she was being completely sincere. The woman she was with was also a nurse, and I could tell that she too was honestly surprised that I have 24 year old son. They asked me what I eat and told me that I must have amazing genes. I didn’t tell them my real secret.
Also, this past weekend while at a Circle K event for my younger son I was introduced to one of his Kiwanis sponsors who remarked when he met me “What are you, like 20?!”. I laughed, but at the same time thought of Dr. Neigel and how none of this would have been possible without her.
Dr. Neigel has given me back my life. I no longer dread going out in public worried that I might catch sight of myself and feel the way I once did. Dr. Neigel has given me back my life and for that I will be forever grateful.

Dear Dr. Neigel,
Can’t thank you enough for making my “Basset Hound” Look disappear along with the gift of Restylane that you gave me. Since 2007 you have always been so kind to me. I hope you know how much I appreciate your thoughtful gestures over the years. You are a wonderful doctor with many skills and I am and will continue to be an ever grateful patient.
With heartfelt thanks,

Dear Dr. Neigel and Staff,
This Letter comes with gratitude and appreciation.
I am a 53 year old single, working mom who works very diligently in 2 jobs to take care of my two teenage angels from heaven. Being divorced and on a very limited income, I would never been able to afford corrective surgery for droopy eyelids, but The Neigel center made it happen for me, and I am so grateful.
For as long as I can remember, since I was about 30 years old, the “hooded” lids I was born with began to bother me. I knew it was hereditary and would worsen with age. At first it was more of a minor nuisance but something I felt very self-conscious about. As I rolled into my late 30’s, 40’s and early 50s, the physical effects of the shape of my lids began to interfere more with my lifestyle. Aside from the obvious feeling of looking tired and older, the side effects of feeling heaviness and pressure in my eyes, increasingly obstructed vision especially at night with night driving and night activities, frequent headaches, and feeling like my eyes had “mini” bags of sand on them began to worsen. I would sometimes bang my head due to the obstructed vision.
Physically and emotionally, I have always been happy and youthful person but my eyes have had a sad, tired look for as long as I can remember. Thanks to Dr. Janet Neigel, her physician assistant Dr. Sarah Lazarus, her surgical coordinator Surrayla, the operative nurse Loraine and the entire professional and warm staff at the Neigel center, my eye’s now match my personality and disposition.
Even though the surgery was only 5 days ago and there is still swelling and minor bruising (which I am told will take about 6 weeks to be 75% healed and 1 year to be fully healed), I can honestly say my eyes have lost the “sad, prematurely-older look” they had been projecting for more than 2 decades. In addition, and just as important and amazing, my eye sight seems better and my vision is brighter and crisper with the new added light entering my eyes!
So I want to thank everyone at the Neigel Center for making my vision and life better and safe.
PS. My 75 old, full-time working dad is next to come take care of this same vision problem. Please take care of him as well as you took care of me.

Hi Dr. Neigel,
This Letter comes with gratitude and appreciation.
I just had to share that I was at the DMV yesterday getting my NY driver’s license. I turned in my NC license and the lady got up took the license to another woman and they looked at me and were talking and shaking their heads.
When she came back to the desk. The lady asked….do you mind if I ask you a personal question? I said….depends on the question. She said, “Were you REALLY BORN IN 1964?” We just can’t believe your age….you look easily 15 years younger.
Maybe no makeup and sweat clothes are my youth serum? It made me feel really good! You’ve been amazing with how you have cared for me as a patient this past year! I have been very very happy with everything you have done for me and for all of my friends!

Everyone at Eltra helped reduce my anxiety level and I very much appreciated their calmness-especially after my procedure. I also want to thank Dr. Neigel for her “above and beyond” follow-up concern, care and phone calls.
